Default Redbox in trouble....Netflix might be the KING?

Netflix execs is pledging to get rid of all DVD's in the mail by 2013, and everything via streaming. Less paper, Less Mail, Less workers = Higher profits.

Now, do you think the majority of American's are going to like this idea? and are most going to have fast enough internet? 1.5 is too low, 3.0 is min, and 6.0 is ideal.

Is it going to hurt them, or make them the king of rentals? And what's going to happen to DVD's and Blu-rays? (Why buy them when you can stream it anytime?)

It's a bold move. Keep in Mind: 8.99/month for unlimited streaming.

What are your thoughts?

Will they have all their content on HD? Because most of their streaming content is lacking HD quality or simply selection.

What about Blu-Ray?

9 dollars a month for unlimited movies is an incredible deal.

I'd rather do that then spend 5-6 bucks for each movie at Block Buster

Who uses blockbuster these days? A lot of them are closing. Their business is in trouble.

I'm not sure if the majority will go for the idea but they certainly will be profitable. Netflix integration is in all the players/tvs/consoles these days for a reason. They are the most popular.

Wifey and I watch Netflix streaming at home and the iPad. Really cheap for all the stuff you can watch.

One vote "for" but then again, we're probably not the "normal Americans" (she's Australian)

I don't mis the DVD's at all will all the other content.
