I got nailed at night by a hit and run a couple years back. My farmers agent said I would have to pay the deductible unless I had a plate number or had proof of who the other driver was that hit me. Ended up just paying the deductible. Hopefully you won't have to!

i got a hit and run before....i got the police report ....reported to my insurance for an uninsured motorist... hired a lawyer and went to theraphy...paid the deductible....then my insurance fixed my car paid my doctor paid my lawyer and paid me for pain and suffering,,,my insurance didnt go up a dime...the lawyer wont charge u anything if they dont get u a settlement...

^ I am assuming you had the other guys plates/info right? Otherwise from what I know, uninsured doesn't pay out.

damn i hate F'ers like that! the guy had the stones to make a break for it!

in your situation i woulda chased after his ass and at least got the plate.

and even if ur insurance pays for it. its still inconvienence(sp?) and you still gotta pay money for the deductible.

this stuff really grinds my gears cause ive been a victim of this many times. i wish there was a batman for hit and runners.

you will have to pay deductible unless you can give the insurance co some leads, such as plate or other info. but it sounds like you were not able to get anything unfortunately

were you at a light that maybe there is a camera or something around that could have logged his plate?

otherwise this should only cost you your deductible, but that does suck
