Default rear diff fluid change help

Trying to do my rear diff oil change,

Reading this forum, looks the the fill bolt is 23mm and drain is 24mm,

I bought a 23mm end wrench, doesn't fit??

I have 2004 ap2, is that why?

And why does my fill bolt look different from the original post's fill bolt?

I even think the drain bolt is not 24mm, more like 23 or 22mm,

Please let me know, thanks in advance

Piece o'cake. Use a 24mm socket on the drain. 23mm wrench on the fill.

I did mine about 2 yrs ago. Hmm... Time for me to change it come Nov. Thanks for the reminder.

Looks like yours is flipped. Your drain bolt is on the fill and your fill bolt is on the drain. Maybe the last person that did the diff fluid change messed up? I didn't even know the bolts were interchangeable.

Try a 24mm wrench on the fill side and a 23 mm socket on the drain side.

Wrong size socket.

It's a piece of cake once you've done it once. I change both my tranny and diff every other oil change, and it only takes me an hour for all three with ramps.

remember to torque the drain plug. dont tighten them too tight otherwise they will strip easily.
