the REAL purpose of a front plate
to save your bumper from idiot drivers that cant park properly
notice the slight bend and scratch. to think, a few nights prior i was digging around to find my bumper plugs because i was going to relocate my front plate into the "mouth" portion of the bumper. i think ill leave it where it is a little bit longer just in case.
i havent removed the plate yet to see if the impact caused my frame to press up against my bumper thus leaving an identation that way. however, i was able to glance through the thin gap between the frame and the bumper and saw no visible damage through there. what do you suppose the chances are that the impact caused my frame to rub against my bumper? im sure having it on though saved me from more possible damage.

Wow, same shit happened to me about 3 weeks ago - i was parked in westwood outside my mates place and i had been thinking to put the bumper plugs in, but decided not to. I came out and my temp plate was all bent at the edges...fate?
Since then i am still dubious whether to remove my plate...

same thing happened to me but the guy also hit my bumper. it's all scratched up. i feel your pain, there's nothing you could do but get lucky and get driver info, and hopefully they'll just want to pay out of pocket. jerks!

Honestly,
What the hell is the point of a front plate, just so the camera's can get you if you run a red light?
I don't see the need to run a front plate??

Has anyone ever seen a 'vette with a front plate? I've never. Maybe they get away with it because they are America's sportscar .
Something was off and then i noticed that it had the front plate, the 1st vette that I've seen with a plate.
