Default Rattling exhaust note?!?!

Happens around 3k and sometimes down low at 1k. It sounds like metal furiously rattling against another metal. I took a look at my exhaust system when the car was on a lift while getting an oil change and found nothing. The tech said it's probably my exhaust being broken in but it's weird to have a rattling noise like that. Anyone else experience this?

i have had this problem i believe...at first it was because the piping from the downpiping on my right muffler was not connected to the muffler. But then i got it welded together and the sound was still there...my mechanic said that it might be something internal and to replace that right muffler. I just bought the Supersprint instead hahaha good luck with that

hmm... could be the muffler eh? does the supersprint rattle? anybody else with an exhaust have this prob. anyone with a spugen exhaust having this prob too or am i the only one. maybe its in the design. as long as the noise is "normal" then my mind will be at peace with this matter.

i had a similar problem with my spugen single exhaust. I took it to my mechanic and turned out someone put a rock inside of the exhaust. Might be something as simple as that, id check it out.

My mechanic said my drive shaft is going bad.
Rattling noise is very loud and annoying.

I had this problem also. My exhaust was hitting the rear cross beam. The solution was to adjust the hangers.

ok adjust hangers, check for rocks, check driveshshaft. the 1st 2 are within my capabilities but checking the driveshaft will be a last resort as i will probably have to bring it to the dealer for that.

I had the same problem with my.. Invidia Exhaust System.. All I did was order new Cusco Hangers and replace the OEM hangers with these.. Most likely your exhaust is hitting up against something.. The Cusco hangers give more or a stiff hold, which will reduce the shaking that's probably causing the rattling... I say just get new hangers.
