The Catholics had a sin typing system...venial or mortal...with venial being a demerit vs mortal is unredemptable.. This kept the murderers and the ilk out.
Mortal sin has INTENT.

Venial is an Oopsy.......I think that is the technical term.......

Law & Order: Mortal Sin starts next season.......

Why must you be so judgmental? How do you know they were poor spellers? Anyone who has ever felt the cool touch of satin against their bare skin as they pull on a pair of high-quality satin boxers knows the powers of satin.

OH S**T!!!!!!!

Some scholars are reinterpreting the "70 virgins" translation in the Koran to mean "dark eyed maidens" which in the context of the time translates into "raisons" a popular but rare treat at the time.

So when a martyr gets to his heaven now, won't he be surprised to get a handful of raisons for his reward

Well, I guess it depends.

If they "believe" yet continue to rape/murder etc. etc.... the question can be raised: Do they really believe?
You raised a good statement right here, and I wanted to hear how you think.

We all sin via Foul mouth, bad thoughts, and it seems like this is an ongoing thing.

If we prayed for ie: foul mouth forgiveness since 7 years of age, and it still continues to 35 years of age, and so forth to the day we are dead., does that mean that god will forgive us each and everytime that we promise to him? That's about 28 years+-50years and ongoing of deception to god.

Most people believe in JC and prays, but certain things they can't do without like foul mouth, adultery, etc..

In summary, repeated sins, I don't think (we) are really sorry for them, b/c if we are, we'd not do it.

ie: There are things that you can stop. For example, my old neighbor used to call his wife a bitch, in the public, and one day, she stood in front of us and slapped his $%^& ass in the face. He stopped since, bc it hurt her feelings.

Now, if we know that foul mouth hurts JC feelings, we do we keep doing it?

Are you saying that Einstein was not a human?????

All I'm saying is that he was a human FIRST, and a scientist SECOND.

Your statement about "Another scientist who doubts" is as silly as me saying "Another pastor who believes." Pastor/Scientist are professions chosen by people based on their beliefs. We are all humans regardless of choice or what we believe.

Of course, sir, but there are more scientist agnostics/atheists than there are Pastor agnostics/atheists. Why?? Because logical, inquiring minds want to know.....

In that token, makes me kinda sad when I hear a family member of mine say my 1 year old nephew will go to hell just becuase his parents are atheist (even though his parents are probablly one of the nicest, most generous folks I've ever met)
EXACTLY MY POINT!!!!
What point?

That organized religion is responsible for people making poor choices in words or tact? To dismiss Christianity based on the actions of some people is just silly. That's like me saying: "I've met some really rude and obnoxious Yankees fans, and that's why I don't like baseball." Don't sell something short because of how it makes other people act.

btw, to be a scientist doesnt mean you dont believe in god. in fact there are many scientists who are strengthened in faith by their own research and knowledge of science.
