Default question please

What happens when you put 87octane in the gas tank??
Will the car start?
Will it bring up a check engine light ??

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Putting 87 octane will not mess up your motor or your car, just drive it like a grandma, or add some octane booster...but your car will be FINE

Dont worry, your car will be fine! I ran 87 for a few months and there was no problems what so ever. I now run 91 and only 91. But im pretty sure one tank full of 87 isnt going to hurt the car at all.

The dealer i picked my car up from actually told me the car was made to runn both...Dont know how true that is but thats what they said. lol

You will be fine! Your gas mileage will go down slightly and performance might be hurt but no damage will occur.

If you empty the gas take you will be wasting your time and money! Just burn it and refill with 91

The car will be FINE!

87 will hinder performance and MPG but can be used incase of emergency, which is your case. Just keep the Rpm's down. Your ECU should adjust to prevent detenation.
