Default Quesions About SPeeding Ticket

i was on PCH late night comming from Oxnard.. long strip before you really hit the beach... anyhow.. i let it rip.. but i guess i passed the cop @ 90 from what he said, slowed down to 80 and then he pulled me over..

wrote me down for 79.. cop was cool.. didnt want to write 15mph over..

my big question is.. a few months back, i got the same ticket.. 79.. did traffic school for it.. so far, 0 points on my record..

but this one!!! .. since i got another ticket within 18months.. i do not auto qualify for traffic school...

does any1 know what my chances are to getting traffic school if i appear infron of the judge and plea guilty but ask for traffic school?

also.. i got this ticket in the ventura county jurisdiction .. all my other ones have been in encino or van nuys court house.. a friend told me that since they are in different jurisdictions, the judge wont know unless its brought up.. is that true??

thanks.

From what I have heard and Im not 100% about this..... is that you can take traffic school again (even within the 18 months) but it won't be off ur record like the first one because it was your 2nd ticket in 18 months.... but it will show up as dismissed or something like that.

I tried the TicketAssassin Route. I have a good feeling im going to win the case given my circumstances.. YOu might want to try this since you have no other option. I am expecting the decision in the mail sometime this week.

When I was at traffic school about 2 years ago, I do recall the instructor mentioning this. You can request to take traffic school again within 18 months but its not going to be dismissed like the 1st ticket.

I heard about that too. Its for people that drive for a living, so if they get 2 tickets in a year they may not get fired. I think it stays on your record, but does not effect your ins rate or something like that.

Any one know the details?

It's a 12 hour, in person traffic school. If I remember correctly, you still get a point on your record, but it does not go to your ins. company. Interstingly my rates were not affected with the one point I got 1 yr ago.
