Default Problems with my bumper plugs

Hey guys well I bought a set of bumper plugs and I went to go snap them in and they didnt feel secure at all. So I took them out and looked in the holes and I noticed that the housing for the screws fell down into the bumper. I was wondering if I had to take off the whole bumper too retrive the housings or I could just take off the plate on the bottom of the bumper. I was also wondering if anyone has ever had this problem of their screw housings comming loose. I did buy the car use and I am hoping that there wasn't a fender bender or something like that the would have knocked them loose.

Thanks,
Marcello

its normal to come lose. the factory did not secure it well. i would suggest going through the top to push it back in. you have to take off the airguide though

I recently just did this too, and had the same issue but only on one side.... One snapped in perfect and I super glued the other can't even tell......

I wouldn't think accident, things get loose over time. I wouldn't worry about it but car fax it or look for over spray.

JC

yes i had this problem...very annoying until you fix it. Remove the bumper, put the threaded metal plate back into place, then hot glue gun that sucker into place. Once you glue gun it in, it'll be nice and secure.

I had the same thing happen and I removed my bumper to put it back on. 10 second upgrade turns into a 20 minute upgrade in less time it takes to let out a fart

I also had this problem before...It got me really irritated so I just had a body shop fill the holes in and shave them! All clean now!

Maybe I should epoxy my sockets into place so this doesn't happen in the future ..
I swap the plugs in and out for big events (sometimes front plate = better safe than sorry)

I had the same problem too when I first got my car and the bumper plugs. I was like wth it doesn't fit. Then I realized that the plate had already fallen off when carmax put the front license plate back on. Pretty much just used double-sided tape, the on that comes with those mad JDM squash air freshner, on my plugs and they've been on ever since, even through numerous washes.
