George,

You getting one?

BC
I don't know, Mike. My 06 S has 90k miles on it. I don't think I can wait 3 years. I was thinking a low mileage 2 or 3 year old Porsche Carrera, but I really haven't given it much thought.

Also, I'm getting cracks in my seat leather. What's your take on the TommyTuning/Clazzio seat covers?

Those covers are fine. Call GoTuning (You remember Aaron right? REVJUNKIE) He's the Co-owner there. There is a sample S2000 seat in the office that you can look at. I can talk to Aaron and get it installed for you.

Wait 3 more years George, drive your car to the ground then sell it to me, again at Matt Piercey place
[/quote]

Yeah, Aaron came to my Angeles Crest runs and BBQs, right? What do you think install would cost?

You install yourself. Very easy. Take off the seats with 4 bolts, but the cover on, an pull the strings and tighten. I'm heading to Lake Tahoe with him in a few weeks.

Yes, he came to many of your BBQ, friends with Rhino and Darkcrow!!

The only thing I forgot, is how to disable the ABS sensor on th passenger seat so it does not light up when you reinstall the pass. seat.

Here we go again: (now they changed their minds from 400HP to 480HP -Frank Markus)

http://www.motortrend.com/future/fut...015_acura_nsx/

PLEASE NOTE:

BASE PRICE $130,000*
CURB WEIGHT 3100 lb*
0-60 MPH 3.0 sec*

Note: " * "

* = *MT est

MT= Motortrend ESTIMATE. (this is an opinion from a writer, who is not even an automotive engineer)

They estimated 420HP, now 480HP. They estimated 150K a few weeks ago, now its down to 130K with a "*"

In a year, it will be 550HP and 3,400.... and so on and forth..

They seem to know "more" then the engineers.

Whether right or wrong, Honda is not going to please the real enthusiasts by producing a "Supercar" with lackluster performance figures. If Honda is willing to dilute the NSX "bloodline" with lowly performance figures produced with a "technologically advanced green performance machine," they are bound to lose loyal customers.

OK, thanks, Mike. I think I'll go down there to talk to Aaron and look at the finished product.

How do you figure? In terms of engineering and performance, honda was way ahead of the game when it only had 290rwhp. Imagine what at least 400+awd would be in a supposedly lighter model would be like? Honda never relied on pure brute power, but yet they still perform above and beyond because of awesome & balanced engineering.
It's kind of the same reason why the GTR spanks the rest of the pack. It has less power than it's competitors, yet it shines because of engineering. On that note, let's just say that honda needs less power than the rest to perform to standard.

Correction, it was ONLY 270HP when it first started. +20HP in the NA2. But you are correct. Power to WT ratio is key. Don't need King Kong (V-10) to fight "Godzilla" aka GT-R. Beat them with innovative engineering.

They laughed when the "poor man Ferrari (NSX)" was released, until it became a reliable Icon. They smirked when they heard 2 litre + box ready race car (s2000)... Am I'm sure they are going to roll their eyes... "2015" and still a V-6, while everyone is on a V-8, 10 and even 12..

This will be fun.

"True enthusiasts" will buy whatever Honda has to offer. "True enthusiasts", I define as the "DIE Hards" such as Apple Fans, will buy whatever Iphone/Ipad/Macs that comes to the market. They will even pay premium, like the 20K markup on the NA1 and 10K markup on the F20.

How many of these "true enthusiasts" or I say "fans" can actually afford to buy this car? I don't believe they are designing this car to make money, but to showcase Honda Exclusive Engineering globally, even if they say this car is designed for the US market.

Again, be lucky if 3000-5000+ units are sold in a 10 year span. The 15 year tenure of the NA1 and NA2, only sold roughly 9000 units.
