Powertrain warranty question
I purchased my car certified used about 2 years ago and it came with the 7 years/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. I checked online and honda says the powertrain covers engine, transmission and drive system. My question is does the clutch fall under transmission because my clutch feels really soft and I think its leaking. Called norm reeves cerritos and they didnt wanna give me a straight answer. They said to come in and have the car diagnosed. Problem is, they're charging $60 just to diagnose it. Does anyone know if its covered because I dont wanna waste $60 and have them says its not. Thanks.

Depends open the warranty they gave you. If its through Honda, I believe it does fall under power train if it needs a slave cylinder. If its the clutch it will not be covered.

Check your master cylinder, right next to the brake petal. The rod that connects to the firewall should be clean, if you see any slimy ooze coming out, that means your master cylinder is probably shot. Also, inspect and change your clutch master cylinder's brake fluid reservoir, most people forget it's even there. Items like tires, brakes, clutch are meant to degrade after use, so they will not be covered.
