Hmm, I got a family to shoot on the 8th and a 1 hour wedding on the 9th. Depending on what time we decide will determine if I go.

No bananas are allowed up there.

Yes, it's a 1 hour wedding at Santa Monica Pier, I'm pretty much shooting a short ceremony and some photos of the couple

Shotgun wedding, because it's only a one hour gig. It's a joke. Most weddings are long, arduous, all day events.

They used to call them shotgun weddings because the bride's daddy used a shotgun to make sure the groom did right by his daughter (and married her) after said groom made it so she wasn't able to honestly wear white to any wedding ceremony...thereby necessitating the ceremony. It's a rather old expression from a time when it was socially unacceptable for young women to, um, er, enjoy certain pleasures of life before marriage.

And shotgun weddings were usually short ceremonies with little fanfare. It's not as funny when you have to explain it.
