Thumbs down PAY PAL SCAM

Got a scam email from a fake PAYPAL saying I purchased something and to link to a dispute claims page...... Called them immediately to learn it's going around like the plague...

DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFO....if you have you need to contact paypal immediately..

If you notice on the lower right....there is no "lock" icon showing that it is secure...thats what tipped me off at first..

Just a heads up..

Tim

Thumbs down

The give away is when they send it to
Member or your your email address

it just started for me 2 months ago...
I think its a PPL problem... I have had ebay for a long time... with out any
problems

now i get PPl and ebay your account is about to be locked if you dont respond....

just forward it to:

spoof@ebay.com

or

spoof@ebay.com

if you forward it ... let them fight it with the spammers
never click on their links....

OMG, i just got scammed last night about a "second chance offer" from eBay. be careful, abou those..

the guy used ebay layout and all that stuff, but i knew it wasnt from ebay because of two things..

1) ebay always uses @ebay.com email addresses.
2) when i check "my ebay" the item was not up for "second chance offer"

good luck, and stay alert!

This is also correct..

As per the live representative, Paypal will always address you with your Name NOT as a "member".

You can forward the email to spoof@paypal or spoof@ebay

Pay Pal will also never ask for FULL account information OR Passwords.

Sorry to hear about your Ebay scam Jon... Hope that $hit gets resolved.

Probably the same people who where doing the Navy Federal web page scam.

I have to admit..... the fake pages look pretty real.

As a general rule of thumb, I don't ever respond to e-mails at all. If I see something questionable on an e-mail, I NEVER EVER use the provided links. Close the e-mail and browse to the site on your own. If there's something wrong, they'll let you know when you log in on your own.
