Parking Violation "No Front License Plate"
so about a week ago, i received a parking ticket for a no front license plate. now, i am not arguing against this ticket (which is $82). but i received one today for the same reason, but i had my front license plate on, but the LP was upside down.
can they really ticket me for this? even on the violation, the "No front/rear license plate" was marked but a small caption reads "upside down"
Can i fight this? no where in CA state laws says that the LP has to be mounted upright. just legible.
this sucks

hmm quick research on the google machine reveals that others have gotten citations for displaying upside down.
You might try fighting it, but I know after you FIX it, the fine is reduced to 20 bucks or so. Might jsut be more worth it to fix it, and get it signed off. than spend 2 hours in court.

The Cops must be on a role my girlfriend called me about an hour ago and said she got a $55 parking ticket in Van Nuys for parking at a meter. She said she ran upstairs to get something came down and there it was, ofcourse she didn't put money in the meter.

yeah you need to send in a DATED photo of the FIXED violation.
and a check or money order for $10/each violation to the city of ___
keep in mind the police and parking enforcement have been given strict instructions that they are no longer to let people slide with warnings, the city of LA is on the brink bankruptcy, our fines/money are supposed to help bring money back into the system and keep the economic machine well oiled.
