only way to make gas prices drop !
well..the way to lower gas prices is to only buy from gas stations that are selling their gas cheap...meaning do not stick to one gas company..if shell is at $3.50 and chevron is at $3.25..everyone needs to go to chevron...causing shell to have to lower their price to get business...and so on and so on...
price wars...
thats if ...people actually dont pay the higher price.

If only people were proactive enough to do these things, it would be great. But we have idiots like 05TurboS2k that are too stupid and/or too lazy to make the trip to a lower priced gas station to make that strategy work..
It's also difficult to find any gas stations out here in West LA that are priced lower. But I do my best to stick to those gas stations who do consistently sell gas at a lower price when I manage to find them. I'm definitely don't have any loyalties to any one brand so this is easy.

Isn't there a website that updates daily listing the cheapest gas stations in your area? I can't remember but it was on the news or on one of the news sites..

Only problem is that most of the cheap gas stations are ARCO and stuff.

this was debunked a long time ago. gas stations that have excess gas will just sell to the 'non-boycotted' stations, who will be desperate for MORE gas.
Anyways, we all complain and b*tch about gas prices but in the end IMHO - its worth it. I wont think about conserving due to prices alone until it goes over $5/gal....
