Same thing happened to a close family member and after he hit the side of her vehicle after trying to get back to the street he was on (he was in an only right turn lane) he thought it would be best he run.
After tracking him for a short bit and getting the license plate, she was fortunate that the damage was minimal enough to be covered by his insurance. He was also charged with hit and run.
Oh, I can speak on personal experience as well.
Driving in downtown around 11am, I was side swiped. Got out to exchange info and I found out that he had no license or insurance; the car wasn't even his.
Anyway... to make an already long story short, used uninsured to fix the car.

Wow why is it that almost every accident now the person either doesn't speak english, no registration OR the car is registered out of state, NO Insurance OR a half-assed one at that.
And there is usually a son/husband who tries to blame the whole thing on you.

I've also been in the same situation, but I don't go calling people names. That's a derogatory term against Mexicans. I'm sure there's names that you don't like to be called.
