Cops do this all the time and there is absolutely nothing we can do. My girlfriend was stopped right by my house (cops NEVER come down my street) for no reason at all. A cop just wanted to know what she was doing here and then wrote up a false brakelight ticket. The bulbs had JUST been replaced and were perfectly functional. The city needs to lay off half of their police force because all of the ones in my city have nothing better to do than harass those of us doing nothing wrong.

She filed a complaint on the officer with the police department though I'm sure that went straight to the dumpster.

my fd in Ktown also got a no front plate ticket when his car is parked.
so I guess it's pretty common in LA area.

My friend got a no front license plate ticket, he was parked on a small street right next to school too. It was given by those fat lazy parking enforcement a$$holes who have nothing better to do but drive around in their prius writing everyone up around town.
