If you can do it, traffic school leaves you're record clear, so I would always go to traffic school if I had the chance. Of course you can always contest the ticket as described in the link above if you feel it was unfair.

Can I contest the ticket first, then take a traffic school if proven guilty? or do I void my previlege by going to court.?

good question... i dont see why not if this is your 1st violation in 18 months. maybe the judge has final say if you do lose whether you can still take traffic school or not but id bet a nickel that you'd be safe contesting it then going to school if you lost.

You give the privilege of going to traffic school if you contest. I was just in court. But, you can probably beg the judge if you lose. FYI, at my court date 75% of the cops didn't show. Including mine.

If you have the chance to take school to have it cleared then I suggest you do. All the cop has to do is show up and you might as well consider yourself guilty. They give you traffic school so that you will not contest the charge, if you do then Reds2 is correct, they remove your chance at school so I think it would be in your best interest to take the school and relax from the speeding till the next 18 months till you can not worry about it, that wont happen so just watch out more.

How accurate is ticketassasin.com anyway? Do the things they say actually work or they are just BS? dont want to trust a site and end up screwing my citation even more.

it's somewhat accurate but take whatever he says with a grain of salt, not every court house/judge is the same.
