To me, if you're in the more affluent areas of OC, Chipotle is a good option to have. Same probably applies to the more remote areas of Riverside, affluent areas of SD.
However if you are in LA/Santa Ana/etc. where you have authentic Mexican food readily available (for example driving distance to work), then Chipotle is god damn expensive.
I for one, would almost never go to Chipotle if there were King Tacos and their like competitors around me. I know if I tell my LA friend I went to King Taco he'd be like wtf, that's stuff is overpriced!

When I go to Chipotle, I usually just get a veggie burrito with all veggies and black beans and guacamole. Then I ask for a couple of sides of salsa. It's pretty healthy.

Veggie = not enough protein for me personally.

The tortilla itself is 290 calories, 9 g of fat, and 670 mg of sodium.
Chipotle is less greasy and relatively healthier than most of your mexican chains out there though.

I ask, though generally it's so little meat and so much rice and beans.... yuck. I grew tired of that pretty quick. I then asked for no beans but they just replace it with rice anyway.
