The last time I maxed out in April or so, it was 315. I stay around 225-245 for reps. The program I'm on doesn't allow for max benching.

It's possible. I did these lifts at 180, and at 175 back then (waaaay back) I did 345 1.5 times. I don't max much anymore, because I don't want to risk injury. Since starting this year in February, there have been 2 times where I had to take a whole month off. One was from a workout injury, and the other was the spider bite Just be cautious. You lose a lot of hard work being down from an injury

yea i know what you mean man , my friend was benching 2 plates , i was spotting him , he was doing his 5th one and it just slipped out of his hands and landed on his chest , ever since then he hasnt went past 2 plates and he scared to bench the 5th one

That sucks that he's that traumatized. What he needs to do then, is jump on the smith machine and do that on there. There's locks and everything, so no worries. Otherwise, workout on the hammer strength machines. There's something for everyone

yea that is true , but we've moved onto using dumbells now , since i feel more sore then using the barbell

Naw, I'm usually too pumped up after the gym Gonna take some Tussin and let it work itself out soon

Do both, they work the same muscle, just in different ways
