I got a bug bite (possibly spider) at Megameet, I popped it, and it got infected. Rafting caused more infection, and I was a day or two away from losing my leg if it had reached the bone. They did minor surgery and got the abcess taken care of and I am having a week and a half of 2 a day sessions of strong antibiotics. Thing are good now though. Healing is better than they expected and a deep wound turned into a divet in 2 days. I was surprised and very happy. Now the medical bills are the only thing I'm taking care of. My last IV treatment is Thursday at 6pm. After that, no more walking around with an IV, looking like a junky

Wow, sorry to here about this. I'm glad you are recovering well. The antibiotics are amazing, I had a similar experience on my hand a few years ago. Close to loosing it, got the mass dose of antibiotics and was amazed how fast it healed. Get rid of that flesh eating bacteria and get well soon.

Sorry to hear you had to go through something similar, but glad your outcome is like mine. It was sketchy cause my would wasn't around fat or muscle, but directly above my shin bone. Got a pretty gnarly abcess they took care of, but the doctor was good and got it all in one procedure, whew! I couldn't take the pain anymore.
