Mugen is only lighter because it uses a smaller polycarb rear windown and has no interior lining.

Other than the matching OEM color, the lining is actually what I like most about the OEM hard top.
Not only does it cut out road noise, it is also much cooler in the summer.

Since I took the hardtop off, even with the top up, it gets hotter in the cabin....

i noticed this today. i have never had a hardtop but dang, that SFV heat was cutting right through my convertible top, i had to blast the a/c.

How can you possibly complain about road noise in a sports car? Then again... I think all sports car should look like teh Ariel Atom
