actually, this type of training is a must for me too
controling my Accord was a joke (fwd + e-brake balancing in the snow was easy and fun)
the possibility of losing control of the S2000 scares me. people say that recovering from a slides is easier in a rwd (and impossible in a fwd). this is not the case for me. i have driven fwd cars for a long time, and fwd control is easier and more intuitive. so, I'd like to make rwd control the same for me. i'd like to convert my "fear" into constant control and a big grin as I truly enjoy rwd

so here is the point... I would love to participate in one of these. I need instruction, not another autoX. I would hate to make a "habit" of my control mistakes. please let me know when a "man" version is coming up.

rant over...
We are hoping to have another newbie school sometime in 2006. It's usually held in May. The CSCC is finalizing 2006 event dates now. I'll let you guys know when it's posted! In the meantime, getting into a practice also helps you get some experience. Our members are very happy to ride with you, give you points and take you for rides and teach you proper car control and the racing line.

My wife is in. She tried her first championship event in September and is interested in becoming a better driver and competitor.

The wife wants to know if she can drive her own car at the event or will cars be supplied there?

Luvschnauzers, please try the site again. Maybe it was down temporarily.

Actually, it's not. We've also had trucks and minivans out there. Since she'll be driving that everyday, it makes sense for her to take it past it's limits (well, within reason! No two-wheeling!)!
