We welcome newbies to attend any of our championship events, there was one today. Next event is Nov 27th!

BTW...BC, you can't get into the Ladies event. You know how they "tech" the cars...we might have to enforce that for participants if you guys try to sneak in.

uh-oh...did you get one? A DNW is a did not work. If you're new and it's your first event, they just won't record your times. If it happens again, they have the right to ask you to not come back again.

The CSCC and the SCCA are volunteer organizations...our events only run because we ask participants to do their part and work about an hour and a half, and because we have dedicated regulars that help organize and run the events. Many other volunteers donate tens of hours every week to keep the organization running (pointskeeper, equipment manager, chairman, the person who books all the event with Cal Speedway, etc).

No, i was just curious and reading the newbie faq on course working. SOmething about "the dreaded DNW." Isn't there a dB sound minimum? I don't think I pass...

this sounds like a must for my gf
she wants to get the SC430 because it's a stylish 4 seater convertible, and because "its so cool"
I hope that she never has to realize that electronics cannot defeat physics
cool event

actually, this type of training is a must for me too
controling my Accord was a joke (fwd + e-brake balancing in the snow was easy and fun)
the possibility of losing control of the S2000 scares me. people say that recovering from a slides is easier in a rwd (and impossible in a fwd). this is not the case for me. i have driven fwd cars for a long time, and fwd control is easier and more intuitive. so, I'd like to make rwd control the same for me. i'd like to convert my "fear" into constant control and a big grin as I truly enjoy rwd

so here is the point... I would love to participate in one of these. I need instruction, not another autoX. I would hate to make a "habit" of my control mistakes. please let me know when a "man" version is coming up.

rant over...

95 dB...you'd have to be pretty loud not to pass.
