Default No Front Plate 5202VC

So I got a front plate ticket on the way to work this morning by a motorcycle cop. Surprisingly, this is my first one so I really can't complain. He threatened me with speeding but only wrote me up for no front plate violation. I'm sure many people have received one. A couple of questions:

1) Does insurance get a copy of the ticket?

2) I'm pretty sure the DMV doesn't process these tickets correct?

3) What's the fine for a 2nd offense?

Thanks,
-wicked

That's not a moving violation.

its just a fix it ticket pay it and move on 10 bucks is what you pay for each no front plate.

I'm not sure if you mentioned the officer that you already had a ticket for the front plate. if you did then he shouldn't have given you it in the first place.

Its not always 10.00.

If it says "correctable" then its 10.00

If it says not correctable (In which case, some officers are arses..) then its a solid fine. No need to fix it. (65-70).00

For me, if I got one (knock on wood), I'd rather get a non correctable one, I don't even know where myu front plate is....
It would cost me more to go to the DMV and make another personal plates, then sign it off. More time and effort.

I was fined $25 7 out of the 8 times that I got a no-front-plate ticket. When I got cited around UCLA, it was $45. It always says the fine may increase if not the first violation, but I think that's a scare-tactic. Not sure if I want to test it though, so I always pay a little extra to stay off street-parking.

$10 is for the inspection fee. but that fee is not always there. most CHP stations ive been to dont charge me.

u get that ticket signed off and stamped. then mail it in to the court with a $10 check for processing. this $10 is mandatory.

The ticket was issued as an infraction and marked correctable. I'm pretty sure it's just a fix it ticket. The only thing I'm really worried about is my insurance getting a copy. I got a really good rate from them for my S and the last thing I want is for them to kick me off. =X

Your rate will not go up because of it. Even if you don't PAY it, your rate won't go up. It's not a point. In the end you will pay one way or another (if you refuse to pay DMV will tack on an amount, usually GREATER, to your registration fee).

But yes, don't fret it. As I said, I've gotten 8 front-plate tickets. You're gonna be alright.
