What's a good pad that is sufficient enough without breaking my wallet and can I get away with just swapping the fronts or should I do all 4 corners
You'll need to do all 4. If not you will melt the rears, ask me how I know!
really? Is that really necessary for my first time out??? Ive got brand new oem pads that I just put in about 500 miles ago

My advice to you is run what you have! If it's the first time out then you don't need to be spending on items you won't absolutely need.

Go out and have some fun first and see if you like it. Make the purchase after you track and figure out how aggressive of a pad you want.

Stock brakes work just fine! Just do a brake flush with new higher boiling point and you are set.

Save the money, trust me!

I AGREE !!!!!!!!!!!!
