I dig it Min. Did they have any other style of end plates? This is the one with the center channel right? How tall are the posts?

Sorry for all the Q's, Im in the same hole right now. Im about to put my carbon GT wing on and i dont know if i should keep it on or only use it on the track. Personally, I could give a rats ass what people think, its just the passers by that worry me. A $700 wing that is held on with allen bolts maybe to tempting to leave alone.

Ardy, powder coat your wheels gunmetal then polish the lip, will go amazingly well with all your cf.

Thanks. The wheels are actually 18's and they are gun metal.

The wing is 10" tall and has the center channel. The problem is that the trunk aluminum skin, even where the underskeleton is, is not strong enough to not flex under the downforce. I can't find a solution short of ripping apart my trunk to rebuild something between the underskeleton and the skin - but that could be troublesome. I could also put supports ON TOP of the trunk, but that would look retarded on the street. The best solution? Dry carbon trunk!! Too bad they are about $4000....

I have an extra trunk lid, so docofmind if you wanna help me come up with a solution that'd be great! I also got some other new stuff in the works that will be great for daily driver/weekend track cars like mine. But for now, it's a secret

BTW The wing retails for $675 MSRP but can be had for quite a bit less. PM me and I'll get you a deal. I need some big brakes, maybe we can work something out. I think my stock pads and rotors and race pads are all trashed now...

And right now I'm running around with holes in my trunk. Atleast it never rains in Cali....

The wing looks great in person as you can't see the wing in detail by the pictures.

For the price, the dry carbon wing is actually a good deal.

For the problem of the aluminum flexing, why don't you try putting a couple poles vertically inside the trunk [where the wing brackets are] so that when there's downforce applied, the force is exerted onto the poles so that none of the aluminum bends?

I like it, and it would look good with smaller end plates, but you probably need some kind of lip to balance out the asthetics of your car. Overall it's pretty nice.
