Default New Soft Top Help

I got a brand new vinyl soft top about 4 months ago. I have to adjust the top everytime i put it down so it doesnt wrinkle up when i put it up. Im getting tired of doing this and was wondering if there is any way i could get the top to fold down correctly. Pics below show what it looks like when i put the top down with no adjustment and how it looks like with adjustment. The adjusted top has more of an "S" shape look to it.

I never really took note of how mine folded. Now I'm going to have to check it out.

However, I'm thinking it's possible that after a bit longer the material will get softer and the wrinkles won't last once the top is up....that is after the material becomes more flexible etc. Just a thought.

I'm guessing the side straps that bolt to the body were not pulled and used. That strap will stretch it out right and helps fold.

there is a sping wire that didnt get taken off or threaded thru the new top. not many people know about it. there are a few parts like this that i see get overlooked on these jobs.

Just another reason why you should take this kind of job to someone who knows what they are doing.

^^^ agree. Hopefully the tension cable is still there and wasn't cut off inadvertently.

It's 13$ each side plus shipping at hondapartsdeals, probably more if you're ordering from your local dealership.

Who installed the top in the first place? You should make them pay for it
