Default Need last bit of advice before getting a 600RR

I have wanted to buy another motorcycle for a while now and have narrowed it down to the 600RR or the Yamaha R6. After reading reviews on different forum boards about the 2 bikes it was hard to find a non bias opinion.

Then I found a review which said that the 600RR is a great bike because it is predictable and not as aggressive to ride as the R6, but that the R6 is a much better track bike and that the 600RR is more streetable.

Since I trust the people on this board I was wondering if anyone can confirm that. Because I will be riding on the street and riding through the canyons the if this is true I will get the 600RR.

The RR (certainly not as comfortable) is not more/less streetable than the R6. Whoever tells you that the RR is a more "streetable" bike is simply BSing. The RR is plenty aggressive.

They're both made for racing straight out of the box (pretty much), and their performance on the track is too close. Some mags have the RR as being faster, and others have the R6.

The RR is probably a bit more stable through the turns because of the Unit-Pro link suspension, where the shock is connected only to the swing arm (less energy transferred through out the bike). This isn't a gimmick. The RR does has a higher top end, but you're really not going to notice it unless you're going 130+ mph compared to an R6. Also, unless you're really fast on the track, the faster top end isn't going to help you against other bikes. The R6 has much better mid-range torque...I'm sure you know how that can help.

If you plan on riding a lot, then go for the R6 simply because the seat's more comfortable. If you don't care about that then, choose either one. You can't lose.

Thanks for the in put integrate. I had a Yamaha before and liked it, but I think I like the riding postion and since I am a short Japanese man the fit on the Honda is good so I think I am going to stay with the RR. Going to dealer tonight after work to work out the deal.
