Default Need info on MY07 seat change

If you take the seats out of a MY07, what sensors are on it as far as airbag or anything that may cause a check light or something of that nature.

All help is appreciated.

there are two sensors, one is for the seat belt and the other is for airbag, i think it measure the distance or speed the airbag is deploy. I fixed the airbag light by just removing the old sensor from my old seat and put them beneath my aftermarket seat.

nice, so you can just remove it and attach it to the new seat no problems?

That I know of, the passenger seat has a sensor that weighs the passenger, and if they're not heavy than 70 or 80 lbs, it turns off the passenger airbag. in the event you have a child in the seat, the airbag is not deployed

So if the car were to have an aftermarket seat or an older MY s2000 seat would the sensor still be able to work?

The weight sensor would not work and the bag would never go off.

Also you need the distance sensor off the 2007 seat, or the airbag won't go off at all.

So basically i need to strip all the sensors off the old seat and put them on the new seat for it to work.

Or is it just not going to work?? Sorry just want to be 100% on this issue

You can't switch out the weight sensor -- this is the big problem with the passenger seat on AP2.5.

You can jerry-rig the distance sensor up though.

+1 I have aftermarket seats in my MY06. You can reconnect the position sensor under the drivers seat and leave it dangling. But the weight sensor on the passenger seat has no workaround and WILL get an airbag light.
