Need HT opinions
Guys, I can get a brand new OEM HT for dirt cheap (free) and was wondering if I should get white or black??? I have the cf hood so I'm wondering if black would flow better.....or should I go with white?

stu,
personally, the only "black" hardtop i'd get is the mugen. i think the oem black one would look funny, even though you do have a black CF hood. it's too round!
get the white one. if you ever decide to sell the car, you'll have an easier time selling it with your oem hood and an oem white hardtop.
damn... i wanna free top too!

what!?!? free??? crazy.....
imo, i would get white and remove the windshield sticker. In japan all the 2002+ come with the sticker removed.
the only black you should get is mugen carbon fiber ht or amuse carbon fiber ht(which i dont like because i think it looks like a miata ht because of the shape of the rear window)....then i would leave the windshield sticker on.

IMO, the color of the hardtop should be based on whether or not the windshield tape is going to be removed. No tape = white HT. Leave tape on = black HT.
Just a caveat about removing the windshield tape. Since it doesn't go back on anywhere as easy as taking it off, be warned that when you drive around without the HT, the car will look tall and a little bit out of proportion. It's not bad when the top is down, but when the soft top is up,.... ouch.
This is all my opinion after living with no windshield tape and no HT, of course.
Good luck getting a HT, buddy!
