Default need help check engine light is on!

hey s2ki,
after two weeks from not driving my car at all, i took it out today for a drive and the check engine light turned on. i pop the hood open to see if any sensors were lose or something got disconnect and everything seem in place, however the check engine light was still on. it was stored for 2 weeks with a half tank of gas so maybe something in the fuel system has a problem. any dvice or suggestions will greatly help.

Thanks,
Miguel

Start with getting the code pulled. Any Pep-Boys will read the code for you for free. Post that and others can help from there.

So the cel code coming up is p0411 and p1399. P0411 is fuel injection system incorrect flow. Anyone had this problem before?

First off p0411 is Secondary Air incorrect flow. Means you have vacuum lines crossed or leaking.

P1399 is random misfire. This is the bad one. Multiple possibilities to why this came about. Has nothing to do with being stored and just driven. You will need to compression test the motor and work it backwards so you don't end up buying all kinds of stuff trying to trouble shoot it. Hopefully its not a bent valve causing misfire.

I found a lose line that was suppose to be connect to the intake, I reconnected it and rested the ecu. I let it idle for 5 mins so it can reprogram and took it for a drive and no cel . Thanks for the advice everyone

I fixed a chronic 1399 on my Element with a valve adjustment, it was just time I guess.
Buy a code reader, they're cheap and super easy to use.
