nah. i already knew what setting she wanted. it was a matter of finding the right diamond that fit the setting and what i wanted to pay for it.

i actually ended up getting the diamond from the same place i ordered the setting from. took it to a local jewelry maker and he said it was a great price, couldnt even touch it to offer anything else and i got lucky with a good diamond at a low price. so im pretty happy with that.

i have to return the other diamond from union diamond. EGL-israel cert is definately not as strict as GIA. both were graded the same but the EGL diamond from union was clearly more yellow in comparison, although id be hard pressed to tell alone.

it was all put together last minute yesterday. like picked it up from the mounter after leaving work just before going to picnic in palos verdes then poppd the question just before sunset. but hey, procrastination and last minute is the story of my life, so its gotta be right...

thanks for the advice tho. i dont think i really ever want to shop for a diamond ever again...

Ummmmm.. wedding will cost in 6 figs and the rings is worth more than ur car. thats besides the point tho.
