Anyone have any advise for me? im 99% sure imma buy it. the residual is 19000, but i heard its negotiable. My bank (bank of the west) keeps sending me loan offers for 6.49%. What should I do?

Use your home, pull out a HELOC, and pay it off. Use the interest acrurred on the HELOC and write that interests off as a tax deduction.

if you buy it, you're gettin ripped off big time. Calculate your total lease monthly payment +19K=39xxx. Return the car and buy the 07 model.

19K for an 03 is cheap.

Uninstall his mods, and sell it is pointless. He has an 03 SC, not transferable to an 04+, or drivebywire. Also, some people do not enjoy a 8K redline.

but don't u take into account the monthly payments he's been making for the last 3 yrs?? in essence, he will be paying a lot more than $19k for the car when its all said and done.

How do you know? What if he got a $349/month 36 month lease deal? That's only $12,564. Plus the $19K residual = $31564. Far off from $39K

Even if Duffer put $3K down (whcih puts it at $35,564), still not $39K

Let ask him, i guarranted there's NO way POSSIBLE his monthly payment is $349/monthly for a LEASE car....If you go to honda site and do a lease calculation for the 06/07 model, there's NO SUCH monthly payment that is less than 500/mnthly. I know that is the 06/07 model i'm talkin about but when he lease his brand new 03 model back in 2003, i'm assuming it should be the same. But if his monthly is less than that then good for him.
