Thanks Alex! But only pretty good? I bet it would pass at Laguna Seca. It is quiet out on track compared to other exhausts. At least from what I could tell from a video shot from the bleachers.

I am not sure of any muffler shops in LA. Search around though. There's got to be a decent shop that could do it.

Mike: that's right you weren't at WSIR the day I went. You'll hear it Sunday for sure

I did this with MY04 a long time ago but kept it dual... was recently thinking of doing the same to MY07... Had a local shop quote me $80, but welding the stock tips in place(dual or single). However I'm not sure how much I will like it. I wish you had a better sound clip... you see when I did it in the past I had also removed the resonator. Nothing can compare to the beautiful exhaust note that echoed from the rear of MY04 beast lol. It was like a JGTC car!

I'm stuck between doing this with or without removing the res...

It's hard to catch good sound on video. I don't think there really is anything to dislike about the sound. It sounds great to me. It's not too much, just enough, and doesn't rasp or drone. With a dual it might sound a bit different, I'm really not sure though. You could always remove the resonator later if you decided to.

Id like to hear a video from outside the car. That would probably capture the sound real good. I've still been meaning to call the shop that did this for you to see if they could make me the pipe and ship it. I'm slacking

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I was googling this type of set-up and decided to go through with it. But mine will be a bit more custom. It'll be all custom 3inch piping with the OEM cat and a 3inch Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator. I'm not sure how much different it'll sound from everyone else here but hopefully it won't be too much of a difference since I don't have a hemholtz pipe in mine..
