congrats on the clearing...i did the same thing to my civic but i used a heat gun, which i think works better because sometimes the oven will make things peel. good work! nice pictures!

After doing over 20 sets of s2k headlights, a set of Accord headlights, and a set of WRX headlights, I can safely say that the oven method is FAR SUPERIOR to any heat gun method PERIOD. I started out using the heatgun and it does not compare. Uneven heating of the lamps from my heatgun and most other heatguns I've used almost always causes a slight butchering of the housing when trying to pry/heat/pry/heat/pry. That can introduce more chances for leaking as you end up deforming the housing alot more than you would with the oven method. With the oven, set at the correct tempurature for the right amount of time and it will ALWAYS yield a much better result.

i used a heatgun on the low setting and it was a lot easier than using the oven, because i have done both as well. i guess it is just a matter of taste. when i used the oven method for mine, it made the clips that hold the housing together too soft, so when you took them off, they would warp and then wouldnt clip back on as easily. maybe it was just my bad experience with the oven that turned me away. either way you get the job done and done well so thats all that matters.
