Those kinds of neighbors suck. I think the best thing to do is really make sure you never
deal with them alone (have witnesses) and keep audio/video recording going.

I used to keep a motion/detecting camera in my office, and you'd be surprised some of
the things I caught... I also used one when I went on vacation, as a "nanny cam"
for our dog sitter. I just used a Logitech webcam hooked up to my PC--cheap and reasonable
quality. Caught the dog sitter going through our drawers, checking out the contents of our
fridge, and coming to check on the dog only once a day (we paid for twice a day).


Most importantly, play it cool--if you blow up at him or act in vengence, you only give him
ammunition when dealing with the police.

Suing your neighbor can lead to a sticky situation and wastes a lot of time. If
he gets warned by the police, or arrested, he's likely to start behaving...
