Moving to San Diego...Need Help
As of today, I'm officially moving down to the San Diego area. I got a job with Upper Deck (Sports Cards & Memorabilia), and I need some advice/help on where to live. I'm scheduled to start after Labor Day (Sept 7th).
I've checked out the surrounding areas of Carlsbad, and am actually really fond of La Costa/Carlsbad area. Obviously the closer to work, the better. I wouldn't be opposed to going as far as Cardiff by the Sea, Del Mar, Escondido, etc. What would you guys recommend? I'm a 22 year old, recent USC graduate who loves golf and my S2k (just as all of us). I'm not huge on going out to bars/clubs except for the occassional bdays/celebrations, and not a real beach goer, but I love nice scenic cruises in the S.
Anyone know of a room or apartment for rent w/ safe parking for the S close to the Carlsbad area? Preferably w/ a garaged spot, but I guess a covered/underground lot is okay.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give! I'm looking forward to meeting people from the SD Crew.

Welcome, Don. I work near you at Isis Pharmaceuticals on Faraday. I don't live in the area, so don't know what's up with area rentals. I'll see if there are any company postings offering accommodations. Looking forward to running with you.

Hey Don, congrats on your new job!!! I still remember how you posted a while back that you wanted to work for Upper Deck since it was your dream job. Good luck down in SD and I'm sure you'll find the SD crew to be very welcoming
