moving to los angeles
well im moving to LA for work but dont know what part of the city to live in for a decent price just looking for a studio nothing major. I dont plan on being home much but dont want to live in a bad area. My price range is between 1,000 to 1,500 for a small spot. Any ideas I dont have any family there so dont know much.Im working at LAX so kind of not to far away from work any help would be appreciated thanks

Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey are the two nice areas near LAX you'd want to consider. You might be able to find a studio for $1500.
El Segundo isn't bad. Kind of a cool little pocket community. It's right next to giant industrial smokestacks... but it's not bad.

There are a lot of great areas, and your price range is reasonable. These are the cities/communities I would check out that are close to LAX:
El Segundo
Manhattan Beach
Hermosa Beach
Culver City
Cheviot Hills
Marina Del Ray
Santa Monica
Palms
Hope that helps!

funny i might be moving to LA too this summer for work (teaching high school) and the school is right off of century blvd. but my price range is 500-800 a month. looking in culver city area, going south to the airport isnt bad traffic as you will be going the opposite directions and the neighborhood is nice, at least i think so (my girlfriend lived there before moving to san diego for school). good luck with the search.
