I've used Ballade before. It is a top notch shop and very competitively priced.
Top end rebuild is $2,500. If bottom end too you should search for a used motor.
Maybe buy a wrecked one and part it out to offset the costs.
Best of luck.

I have a friend that buys crashed S2000's and parts him. I'm sure a lot of people on this board knows him as well. PM me if you want his contact info as I do believe he has a couple of F20C long blocks for sale. As far as a shop to do the work, I know of a couple that would be able to help you as well.

My engine/engine bay was on fire at the track and needed a new engine, Alex at Ballade Sports helped me out. Price is definitely competitive plus he worked with me for what i wanted to do with the car. Been two years now and no issue with the engine or any of his modifications.

Thank you guys for your inputs, I had Alex from Ballade Sport put in a new Motor, its done. Also had him help putting in a supercharger KraftWerk.... after two weeks of driving, one of pulley gear came out, Alex said it was a part were it was factory pre-assembled part, so have to talk to Kraftwerk about it; have my car returned to shop, waiting to get it back. finger crossed.... my a babyS.....
I have a question, if any of you experts know, when my car idles with AC on, the rpm gets jumpy, and stalls from time to time. (it is fine when AC is off). I was told that the ac compressor is putting on too much pressure on the gear, causing the rpm to drop. Any ways to fix? get a new AC compressor? thanks.
