Wow, nice pictures. What kind of camera is that? Something about those pictures looks different than other digicams.

Thanks guys, but my camera's junk by modern standards, but it can still produce some decent images with some patience and digital darkroom editing. All the shots were taken with my Canon Powershot G2 with 58mm Hoya UV and circular polarizer filters.

In general, the images are contrasty and brightness-intensive. I don't usually like the look of straight negative shots in bright daylight so I've sort of developed this style over a few years which produces pleasing images to me.

I'm craving a Canon 10D but may wait for the next model. Here's some lusty pics from that camera:

Are YLO Forever taillights lightly smoked/tinted?
No, I think that's just "too much" contrast messing playing off the slightly underexposed original image.

flitcroft, why don't you just get the Digital Rebel/300D. I got one without the lens, and couldn't be happier. You can't get deals on either one of them, but if you don't really need the Magnesium Body or the higher burst speeds, it is virtually identical. I had the opportunity to chose between the two, but took Rebel and got a 2GB Lexar 40x CF card. The sucker holds over a 1000 pics in SS and 920 in Large Fine mode. I have lens/filters/flashes from other EOS cameras so it all works fine. Will post pics of it from my G3. Those were great pics. Wish I could have gone, but couldn't because we have a baby due any day now.
