Mishimoto gained presence in 2008 by sponsoring everyone and their mom at SEMA.... except no race cars would run their shit for now obvious reasons.
Same thing went for Status Racing. They passed out their racing seats to everyone and their mom at SEMA... except no race cars would run their stuff, lol.
Maybe it's just me. I have a penchant for quality parts so I pay attention to all these wannabe companies

I have a RSX and in the market for a thermostat & fan switch. I been kinda "blah" regarding J's QA so I've been hesitant running anything "mission critical" made by J's.

man you're cocky as hell... Status rings are just as nice as your Brides. (and FIA approved too)
Status are as nice as Brides? lol. My seats are not made in Taiwan, neither are Recaros, Momo, Sparco, OMP, Racetech, etc...
Have you bothered to check what seats are FIA approved? There are plenty of ghetto Taiwanese-made seats that are FIA approved.

You can check the FIA approved list on the FIA website and you'll realize some pretty crappy seats are FIA approved.
Since we're on the topic of Taiwan-made carbon kevlar seats...

They are all ODM manufactuers. Status outsources their seats to some of these ODM manufacturers and sells it as a "high end" seat, kinda like how Mishimoto outsources their radiators and sells it as a "high end" radiator. You don't see Koyo or ARC doing that crap to their radiators.
It's not necessarily bad to outsource products. Autobacs ASM outsources their seats to Recaro. But notice, Recaro makes a quality product to start with.
Both Mishimoto and Status market themselves well by passing out their race products for free to show cars at SEMA, etc... Just like your signature says, a "true enthusiast" would never run that crap. Both companies sell race products that race teams wouldn't touch with a 10 feet pole. And just like your signature says, only "trend hoppers" run products from Mishimoto and Status because they saw it used on their favorite show cars at SEMA.
