Mechanic Shop in Torrance - A Positive Review
I wanted to give a positive review for a Mechanic Shop I went to yesterday where I had my CV joints swapped and suspension re-tightened. This shop was recommended to me by Alex - Mr. Erzogatliyan.
The shop is called Brightside Performance Garage and is located in Torrance at
20932 Normandie Ave.

The mechanic's name is Chris.
There are many mechanics that are recommended on this site, some are actually good and some are not good but still recommended for various reasons.
There are 3 main reasons that I recommend Chris at Brightside Auto.
1 - The work. Chris does the work himself, not an assistant or employee of a highly regarded owner. Many times, a shop gets recommended because the owner may be a good guy, but the employees don't really have the enthusiasm for customer satisfaction. Chris does all the work himself, and he is very thorough, careful, and knowledgeable on his work. I was impressed with his attention to detail, especially when he cleaned the old grease off the cv joints. He also torque-wrenched all the bolts and used plastic lining to cover the seats and used floor mats. Chris even helped me repair another shops installation mess/errors/damage, and charged me very little for it and didn't even complain that it held him back late in the shop.
2 - The price. Quite simply the price was extremely low compared to other quotes I've received...more than 50% less the 2nd lowest quote I received. This made it worthwhile for me to commute from Downtown to Torrance.
3 - Chris is a really nice guy. He answered all my questions and concerns about the job, other aspects related to the car, and even fixed another shop's errors without complaining.

Im glad he took care of you Jeff! I'm telling you.. I have known Chris for over 15 years, but that's besides the point.. I wouldn't recommend someone just because he is my friend! I know 100's of mechanics, one actually being my very close cousin but I don't recommend him just for that purpose 
Its because I know Chis will do 100 times the job most of the other mechanics I know, will.
