And that's saying something considering I was in my daily!! This is gonna be great.
Looking forward to it.

Hi all! So we are only 3 weeks away from the Friday Sep 11 Malibu Drive. I'm still tweaking and refining a few minor things, but the main plan and path is pretty solid so I want to give some updates.

1) Meet-up point pretty well nailed down. Details on that when we get within a week.
2) Snack and Potty stop is likely to be at a beach parking area with some phenomenal cliffside views of the beach and ocean. My intention right now is to get a couple of sliced sandwich platters from Subway (or something similar) and bottled drinks in the morning and put those in coolers. When I have a final headcount I'll know cost for that, but basically figure on a 3-5 dollar per person contribution to the cause please.
3) Optional Early Dinner after the drive. For those not needing to rush off, we will be stopping at the Reel Inn for an early dinner.

..
In case anyone is wondering why we aren't stopping at the Pavilions for the snack stop, lemme tell ya: I recon'd this drive on two consecutive Fridays plus was alerted by a friend about three or four weeks ago and the conclusion is that the parking lot at Pavilions is *insanely* busy on Friday afternoons and there is simply no way we can use that as a stopping point. This is not an exaggeration! But the alternative solution we've come up with is doable and turns out to have some phenomenal views at the cliff's edge!

Well, it's basically just a snack to keep people from keeling over on me if they forgot to eat earlier in the day before the drive. For some, this is going to be a very full day which may include a lot of traveling. And as much as I wish we could stop at an actual retail establishment and let everyone handle their own snacks, right now that doesn't seem like it's going to be possible.

Hmm. A Fiesta, eh? Sounds like a party. So long as it's not a Siesta, we're good.

RM I'm not sure what my work schedule is going to be like. I have to be in La Puente around 5 pm so I might have to bail out.
