I used to buy these all the time, but fell off the past few years.. anyone played, or has played '11 ?

 

Also fell off for me... haven't played in like 4 yrs.

 

Everything that went wrong with Madden 2010 (which was so bad it was unplayable) has been FIXED for 2011.

First: they've shortened the game so once you've selected a play, 10-15 seconds of the play clock speed off (except when you actually NEED time at the end of the half or game) which speeds up the time it takes to play the game by 2x. BIG

Second: Instead of cycling through a million different plays by formation, play type, etc...they have a new gamestyle caled, GAMEFLOW where the offensive or defensive coordinator CALLS THE PLAY FOR YOU, and explains why and what to do to be successful. The AI is smart enough to let the success of the play sit on your game play ability. This simplifies the game and, again, speeds it up further b/c you're not scrolling through gazillions of plays...but you have the option to if you want.

Third: The AI is amazing. Your blockers actually block. And adjust. And help you. Such a change from what was.
Also, the game "scouts" you and if you keep doing the same thing, it'll adjust and kill your for being predictable. You can "buy" scouting reports on teams...INCLUDING YOUR OWN to tell where your weaknesses are, what you do that is obvious, etc.


It looks amazing, it plays amazing.

This 11 is much better than previous years. Graphics, gameplays, game flow, etc... are all much better.

Highly recommended if you are a football fan.

Hold your horses playa. Just spoke with one of my buddy, who's a Madden freak. He said the online is garbage, where if your opponent quit and you play out with the computer. You WON'T get the win. I'll get it, till EA comes out with a patch to fix this.
