exactly thats what i meant by leveled the car out. Great minds!

<edit...mis-read.

you do extra oil? I was scared to do that I thought it might foam etc. Not a bad idea if you run the car extra hard.
yep, been doing it that way for years, never had a problem.

Xavier, I think ur right I think it was 23mm I remember it happened to be the size I used for a motorcycle axle bolt so I happened to have it.

like he said, if you have to buy the wrench (socket? i think i used a socket idk maybe there wans't room for a socket I dont remember) but you might as well buy the pump if you have to make a trip, otherwise make ur own. Then make the GF hold it and dump in the containers while you hold it in the tranny. Worked good for me

I jacked up one side of the car, filled it up, leveled the car out to let it drain even, then jacked it up and screwed it on tight. Done deal. New FM Honda stuff is a slight bit smoother too The diff wasn't too bad either same method.

isn't that essentially just the same thing as jacking it up and filling till it overflows? I don't see the need to go thru that hassle but maybe i'll try it tihs time just for fun. HAHA.

Also, for the socket not fitting, are we talking about the tranny or the diff? just wanted to make sure. Dang...this thread is getting informative as heck. Good stuff!!

Diff plug.

trans, jack up the bolt side so it's higher, you can add more oil.

just add until it over flows.

ya diff, and no it won't fit, I think I had a 23mm open end from use of a dirtbike Axle.

As for jacking it up, I myself jacked up ...overfilled...lowered....let extra drain...then jacked up...tighten bolt and then lowered car. DONE

Xavier on the other hand doesn't lower it to let it drain he leaves a bit extra that ends up in there. Preference thats all.

I tried this method and it works, but if it explodes on you, don't blame me. You have to control the pressure very gently.

Now, I've got a mofo fluid injector/extractor that makes the job much easier.

Cant use a socket, not enough space.

The funnel Idea works, I've done it before.

I jack up on side, fill, put the bolt on, then lower. This way you have a lil extra oil in the trans. But that's just me.

gonna need the big 23mm wrench for the fill plug, you can get to the drain plug on the diff with a socket.

also, I got my pump at autozone, I believe it is a Valvoline pump. I have had a few in the past, this one seems to be constructed very well and I have used it about 3 times. under 10 bucks
