yes, asuming im not going much faster then 2nd or 3rd gear. I can hear it echo off curbs etc.

a few times I could give it a big rev while in neautral and then it'd go away.....but maybe a min later it'd come back.....or sometimes not. This is why I thought....vtec?
Whoa! its sounds more and more like rod knock. Just like Deeqs2k with the same turbo kit. His you could tell right away when you fired it up. Does the noise sound chainey or does it sound kind of like a baseball card flapping against a bicycle wheel?

I'd almost bet my life its a TCT. Mine goes out about every 6k miles now. I just change it out every other oil change.

It sounds exactly as you describe and resonates the same way (off other cars, curbs, etc)

Change it out and see if that takes care of it. I thought I had rod knock as well and it was the TCT.

im becoming more worried. Wouldn't rod knock not come and go though?

Even at idle itll completely go away and then completely come back.

EXACTLY! It's the damn TCT....change it out. $100 and all your worries go away.

You guys should just keep your cars NA. No TCT noises / problems.

ok in the video...the beginning sound is HORRIBLE idk what that is...the idling sound in the rest of the vid....kinda sounds like that.

TCT...lets go with that I guess? For the moment due to the come and go right? I LUCKILY haven't heard many engines knock.

What I can say about the sound is it sounds like a smaller piece of metal hitting another piece... but not a deep thudding sound or anything.

If you've heard a solenoid click and get stuck and start clicking up and down like burnt out boost controllers. its kinda like that.

TCT then?
