Default Looking for new career BUT

I've been working for costco for almost 10 years now ever since i started college and even after i graduated with a marketing degree. I get paid pretty well but I want to get into the automotive industry. The only problem is that most are temp jobs at Toyota and Honda in Torrance and those do not have benefits. They are usually 1-2 year employment contracts through a agency my friend works at. I'm sure that I will be able to do a good job and get hired on with a permanent position after the contract but what do you guys do about not having health insurance if your job doesn't provide any. Who do you go through and what is the average cost per month/year?

Thanks in advance for your info,
ian

i use blue cross with a real high deductible. I pay about 100 a month. I don't use it ever but its there just in case i need to go to er or something. I believe its their cheapest ppo insurance offered by blue cross. It also depends on your age etc...
