Default Looking for a mechanic

Updated: I had recently hit the solenoid a couple times thinking the solenoid was sticking. Sure enough it fired right up. I let the car run for a lil bit then turned it off. Did it again then after i release the button when i know the car didnt need to be cranked more i here grinding for a split second. im going to drive the car and see if it grinds again after pressing the start button thinking i should give it more time between start ups

Had my S2k for about 2 months now and started having a starter issue. i was told before i bought the car the battery was a month old so now its 3 months old. but really dont think its the problem.

the situation is I turn the key to On position waitied for the usual dash lights go out and the immoblizer does turn off. put clutch in and press the Start Button. I hear One Click sound in the dash area and the fuel pump Humming.

Means No engaging the starter solenoid no sound in the engine bay.

I honestly believe its an electrical problem and/or the starter is dead. So i was hoping that someone could assist me in checking voltages. PLEASE if anyone near 92056 it be great help. Thanks in advance ill be checking the website often for PM or email me at Pandahoy@gmail.com

All suggestions are welcome to help others or I in the same situation ^^

P.S. ill pay the one who helps me out if not agreed then treat ya to lunch

There is no cranking at all

Thats the same exact thing that happened to mine when the battery died. This car acts a little different in comparison to others from my experience with the battery dieing.

Listen to Sinji, he knows what he is talking about

agreed. i'd make damn sure its the not the battery before i touched the starter. Its easy enough to test... just try a jump start... if it works, its the battery.. if not, its probably the starter.

my OEM battery died after <1 year of ownership as well.
