As for sleeping at night, you have to understand that this guy doesn't appear to think he is a scammer. He has bought the company line and is a true believer.

You get paid in their money, and the cycle repeats until you exhaust all available resources within the community. Then the heads jump ship and start a new company, or they declare a new method of payout which generally means no money.
That description you gave is awfully similar to the definition of a virus or parasite. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Haha, nice one problem_child. Great find.

$149 renewal fee each year, huh? THAT sure sounds nice! I'm assuming you get a super new and updated "startup package" each year that'll help you get millions of clients who are dying to drop Vonage, SunRocket, AT&T, and whatever other legitimate VOIP services they're using currently.

So sad. I use to think that when they tried to get me in. To see how that one guy did so many people wrong in my school pissed me off so bad, but i was lucky i did not join. He did ended up fixing up his car and everything but he didn't have much friends left and he had to becareful of where he went since some of the people he dealt with were gangsters. Is earning easy cash worth your life? There will always be physco people. If you mess with their money they'll mess with your life.

They started off selling energy but have dumped that end of the business, about 3-5 years ago I believe.

Sorry I owned my own telecom business for awhile and still keep up a little on the players.

ACN takes that money that they wouldve spent on advertising and pays its representatives. (considering they do the job well.)
For the first 6 levels you make a whopping 0.25%. Not a very good commission rate. You should sell life and disability insurance, you get some nice residuals there. Car insurance isn't bad residuals either.

Yeah I was insuracne agent for a while too, what can I say I'm an old fart. I made 6 figures selling cars back in the late '70s/early '80s, then did the same in insurance for awhile. I was happier making $15K/yr working in a hotel, which I did for a little bit in the late '80s by choice.

Many P&C insurance companies pay 3-5% commission. One of my account executives made over $30k on one account he wrote. He spent no more time on it than any of his others.

s2kjay -

As an outsider who's just read this thread and looked at some of the links:
1. I doubt you'll get anyone to join with you on this.
2. The number of people here who have chimed in seem to have a reasonable amount of personal experiences with ACN that you may want to consider.
3. The links indicate that there is also some concerns about ACN as a company (e.g., lawsuits against them).

I don't think anyone is trying to flame you pesonally - and in fact may have concern that ACN may ultimately use you. I understand your desire to become your own boss and applaud your amibition to provide a better life for yourself (and your family?), but just be careful - like you said before, becoming successful requires lots of hard work and commitment - and any company or person that says otherwise requires a real hard look before jumping in with both feet.
